Mother’s Day gift

A baby asked God, “They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”
“Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.”
The child further inquired, “But tell me, here in heaven I don’t have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.”
God said, “Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel’s love and be very happy.”
Again the child asked, “And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don’t know the language?”
God said, “Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.”
“And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?”
God said, “Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.”
“Who will protect me?”
God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it’s life.”
“But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.”
God said, “Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.”
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, “God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.”
“You will simply call her, ‘Mom.'”

5 Ways the Ocean adjusts our attitude

A Walk on the Beach will change your attitude

A Walk on the Beach will change your attitude

Here are the 5 reasons relaxation and meditation experts suggest that you

“close your eyes and imagine that you are walking on the Beach”

1  When you arrive at the Beach everything about the Ocean creates a unique feeling of well being when you stand still and breath in the salt air

2   Seeing the sparkle of the sun’s rays on the water and waves treats your eyes to the raw beauty of nature

3   Feel the power of the Ocean and listen to the sounds of the waves as they lull your soul into focused relaxation

4   The feel of sand beneath our bare feet allows a feeling of connecting to the essence of Mother Earth

5   The massive Ocean reminds us as to how small we are and how insignificant our worries are.

Our busy lifestyles of working and acquiring “things” wears us down –   our perspective is adjusted with sand on our feet.

Come to the Ocean for your natural therapy and leave with a balanced and adjusted attitude – works for me every day

Wishing you Peace, Love and Sandy Feet

Happy New Year 2012

Happy New Year!

Although I am feeling a little fuzzy this morning after an evening of celebrating New Years Eve Carolina Beach style, music on the Boardwalk the dropping of the Beachball and beautiful fireworks as the new year was ushered in.

We enjoyed a walk around the boardwalk admiring how well the decorations has held under the ocean mist and winds. First a stop into the Dive for a couple cold ones before we walked over to the Fat Pelican, where it was happily packed with revelers, to gather around the fireplace to stay warm.

It sure is unusual to see people dressed in winter wear, hats coats and boots, but there were a few die hard’s wearing shorts and flip flops as the temps rose into the high 60’s during the day but dropped quickly after dark to the 40’s.

Every year Carolina Beach and Kure Beach alternate the fireworks and beach ball drop, this year the festivities were at our boardwalk.

With a New Year 2012 comes the typical “this year I’m gonna…” statements, but my largest goal is to make this blog one that you will follow and read and join me in my adventures at the Beach.

Your suggestions for improvement and advice is welcomed!
